Advanced solutions for aseptic filling
A bag equipped with a special accessory designed for use in simple and cost-efficient filling machines is joining the Aran product basket.
Another aseptic packaging solution is joining the Aran product basket: a bag with a smart filling accessory combining a completely hermetic, tamper evident seal with economic savings for the user. The new product – SealAsept – is compatible with special filling machines that are simple and inexpensive, and ensures 100% protection of the product by neutralizing the spout after filling is completed.
The accessory is based on a double-membrane method:
one membrane, completely sealed, takes the place of the standard cap; a second, internal membrane is partially sealed to the base of the spout. The external membrane is opened by the machine after the bag is irradiated and sterilized. The filling head enters and the liquid being packaged flows into the bag through the side openings of the lower membrane, which is sealed at its four corners. When filling is completed, this membrane is sealed and creates an impermeable seal. This method of sealing neutralizes the bag’s weak point – the spout, which is no longer an area sensitive to the penetration of oxygen. Since opening entails cutting the bag, making it impossible to open and re-close, the bag is now tamper evident, further ensuring product quality.
Aran makes the bags designed for this solution from a variety of material compositions, depending on need – Standard Barrier, High Barrier, Superflex, Transparent, and more. The accessory and filling machines are manufactured in Australia through an agreement between Aran and Engi-O. The result is a solution that ensures total impermeability for all aseptic products – juices, concentrates, pastes, dairy products, liquid egg, etc.. – through use of filling machines that are reliable, simple, and cost effective. At Aran, we expect that SealAsept will open new markets to the company, mainly in northern Europe and Great Britain, where there is great demand for this aseptic packaging method.
